MLA series, shielded-loop antennas of single-point resistance-loaded type, have a very small diameter in comparison to the wavelength of compatible frequencies and the electric current distribution on a loop conductor becomes mostly constant. Small loop antennas do not easily get electric-field noise comparing to small dipole antennas and are suitable for magnetic field analysis since the effective height can be simply calculated.
